TutorTree is an Australian website and app that connects tutors with high school students and their parents.
Parents can find a tutor for their child online, message the tutor, and schedule lessons with the tutor via the app.
After development of the app itself was completed, TutorTree needed a marketing website to sell the app’s benefits and attract potential tutors, parents, and students to the site.
The site needed to be fast for SEO reasons, so I built the site from scratch in WordPress using minimal plugins and a customised theme that uses WordPress’ full-site editing features. The result is a fast, elegant site and blog with a welcoming, inclusive feel.
After building and launching our app, we realised that — great as it was — it really needed a separate website to sell the app’s benefits and bring traffic to us through SEO and online marketing.
Matt suggested using WordPress for this, which was a great decision. We now have a site and a blog that we can easily edit ourselves, and that is easy to optimise for search engines.
