Mana Retreat is a popular retreat centre set in the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula in New Zealand.
Since 2020, I have taken care of Mana’s main WordPress site, as well as their sister site for online retreats, Mana Retreat Online. Both sites are fairly complex, using WooCommerce, The Events Manager, and LearnDash plugins. Some of the work I’ve carried out includes:
- Migrating both sites from their previous hosting to WP Engine, improving both performance and reliability
- Configuring Cloudflare caching to further improve performance
- Resolving email deliverability issues
- Fixing various templating and layout issues with the sites
- Writing custom code to enable advanced filtering and pagination for their event pages, and
- Regular site updates, backups, and security & performance monitoring, as well as hardening to keep the site secure.
