I'm looking for the html to create a very specific video gallery and am having a hard time figuring this out.

Requirements:
Responsive image gallery that when you click on an image it changes to a video.
The video does not lightbox, it plays in its place.
The gallery uses Vimeo videos.
The videos Autoplay upon click.

Help is hugely appreciated!

I think the biggest problem I'm having is figuring out how to click on an image and make it change to a video that plays automatically. Does anyone have an idea how to code that?

Depends.

Some video formats do not 'play automatically'

Some have to be 'streamed' from an application on your server.

Some need a 'helper' application / 'plugin' in the end user browser.

Let me explain "Depends" to you.

[it] depends is shorthand for.

I have no idea, because you have NOT provided enough information to enable a USEFUL answer to be given.

Either that or the question is so basic, so fundamental to HTML that I am missing why you are even asking the question, it should be one of the VERY first things you learned and the word "video" is confusing you.

So based on the latter assumption.

It's just an 'image' link. Just like ANY other link but with an image instead of text.

As explained here; http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_links.asp

Haha okay, that was an aggressive response. I hope you feel better now. No, I don't know coding and am looking for help. I don't know what information I've neglected to provide, because yes, I'm new at this. But sure, I'll try to figure it out for myself. What a helpful forum.

Not aggressive, you are merely speculating based on your own state of mind for that.

"No, I don't know coding and am looking for help. I don't know what information I've neglected to provide, because yes, I'm new at this."

Then provide that information right from the start, nobody here has any idea of the state of your knowledge, and that IS necessary to know whether the 'advice' needs to be HTML 101 (e.g. explaining the code as we go along") or we can work in pseudo-code or operational concepts, that you convert into real code.

"What a helpful forum."
YOU determine how 'helpful' a forum can be, you provide the level of help needed and we can accommodate you.

AND by the way

my "aggressive" reply was in response to this:

"I also wants to know that how to create image to video gallery.,"

Which offers ZERO information and 'hijacks' your thread.

So:

"Responsive image gallery that when you click on an image it changes to a video."

"Responsive" is nothing to do with 'images' changing to 'video' as your sentence appears to imply, and before getting into responsive layouts you need to get the basics working.
