Hi Jacobi,

Welcome to the forums. I'll see if I can help!

Are you using the Quick Connect option (the "lightning flash" button at the top)? What happens after you've entered your URL, user name and password and clicked the "Connect" button? Do you get any error message?

Thanks for the advice
I get an error for insufficient permission.
In the host line should I put just the host>
angelfire.com or should I put my url which would
include angelfire.com? jacobi

"I get an error for insufficient permission."

What's the exact error message (word for word)? This will help us to track down the problem.

"In the host line should I put just the host>
angelfire.com or should I put my url which would
include angelfire.com?"

You should use ftp.angelfire.com. More info here:

Let us know how you get on!

Matt thanks for your time. I'll read that article you gave me later. Here's the error
Unable to transfer.
This is most likely due to insufficient permissions. Verify both the destination path and permissions, then try again. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator or hosting provider. jacobi

It sounds like you're connecting OK, but then having trouble actually uploading a file, is that right?

What file(s) are you attempting to upload, and what folder on the server are you uploading them to? It might be that you're uploading to the wrong folder. You should probably be uploading to the root folder (which will contain the index.html file etc).

Yes, it does help. The problem is that you (or CuteFTP) is trying to change to the folder "jacobi74dodge" immediately after connecting, and this folder doesn't exist. It probably doesn't matter though - just ignore it and try uploading your file(s) anyway.

You've probably saved the site in CuteFTP's Site Manager with a default folder of "jacobi74dodge". It should just be "/".

If you want to stop the error from appearing, use CuteFTP's Quick Connect feature, or alternatively, if you've saved the site in CuteFTP's Site Manager, edit it and change the "default remote folder" from "jacobi74dodge" to just "/" (slash).
