Hi everyone, I am sorry if I am posting this in the wrong forum, I just didn't know exactly where to post it.... I am looking for some tips on how to keep up to date with the web development tools in general, like, php coding, jquery, etc.... because sometimes when I look into the forums looking for an answer and I see the people saying "don't use that line of code, it's old, nobody uses that anymore etc..", so if you know any websites or anything to help in that area, I am always following elated on wich is a great help, and has great tutorials too, but it is a more specific type of "up to date" for development, so I want to add sources for general coding.

Thanks.

"but it is a more specific type of "up to date" for development, so I want to add sources for general coding."

There isn't really an "up to date coding" and never really has been, YOU choose what level or specification of CSS and HTML you want to work at.

If your project requires nothing more than coding to HTML 3.2 then use HTML 3.2.

There's no big deal about HAVING to use the latest specifications of CSS3 or HTML5. It is YOUR choice entirely.

I agree with @chrishirst. Also I usually just check the online reference for the particular function/method I'm using. For example, the online jQuery and PHP manuals are pretty good at pointing out when something is deprecated.
