Hi everyone,

Please I have a couple of questions:

1) If for instance you have a website based in the UK and it's target market is also based in the UK. Yet the majority of traffic to the website comes from the US, what can you do to remedy the situation?

2) Does anyone here have any experience with marketing automation service providers i.e. Eloqua, Marketo, etc - which would you recommend?

Your comments will be highly appreciated.

What are the sources of the traffic?

Search?
Direct links?
Paid advertising?

Or ....?

"marketing automation service providers"
Never used them, never likely to. "Automated" anything more often than not means it will be sending untargeted, time wasting junk traffic your way and it seems like you have enough of that in any case.

Hi chrishirst,

Thanks for your response. The source of the traffic is from search (Google). You've raised some valid points concerning the 'automated' marketing.

You need to "tell" Google that the URLs are for a UK focussed audience. And there are many ways to do that. Some are as simple as making it clear in the copy, or using "boiler plate text" in the documents that give the office address details or delivery scope if it is for products.

You can also set the target market in Google Webmaster Tools, or have the site hosted in the UK or with a .co.uk ccTLD.
