Not sure SQL issue ?

Hello, im very new to building my own website and sql html php all that, i have a project im working on and i could use some help.
I need to learn how to have it so users can press a button and it will send a command (responce) from my database back to a game im playing. Second Life. this is so you can interact with your product out of game. BTW this is allowed incase you havent heard of the game.
i have the it so i can send and recive data in game but i have no clue how to do the website part. I have put together a VERY basic site. and thats were im starting. Please email me of leave a contact here if you want to help.

To interact with the Second Life game servers you have to use an API (Application Programming Interface)

thats not a neccisary thing for what im doing. Im trying to have a object send its url to a DB and if a user pushes button that button will send a responce to that object. I read over the API and i dont see any of that.
