I just landed a website project in which the client wants it done in English and Spanish. Can any one please tell me how I can convert a website from English to Spanish. thanks

Sure thing: Hire a good translator and pass the cost onto the client along with markup and a project management fee.
The markup and PM fee is there to cover the time you spend finding and dealing with a translator, and the markup is there because otherwise you'll make no profit on this immensely important part of the project.
That's the only way I've ever found to do it. Google translate or similar just won't cut it I'm afraid.
