Hi everyone,

I just started this website a few months ago and I would like you to please give me

your feedback on it's concept and design (I've been told it's too clean..)

Thank you.

Hi ilyas,

Welcome to the ELATED forums.

Nice work so far. Your site has some nice content on it and easy to navigate.

Your site looks clean and straight to the point. This might appeal to freelancers but I think employers might love to see a few pictures and colours here and there. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. Try improving on your logo for starters.

Your articles section could use some breadcrumbs navigation to let users know where they are on your site, as I seemed to get lost. And your contact us page, didn't have any contact details (phone, contact, form email etc) but just a 'thank you' message! This I found strange as didn't even submit a form or anything!

Also, I must not fail to mention that your site raised a few red flags with my antivirus software, so I guess you need to look into that also.

Hope this helps!

Hey Mauco,

Thank you for your quick reply.

I must say that I'am pleased with your comments particularly on the contact page issue.
I'am on it. I also liked the idea of breadcrumbs on the blog section and more images (that'll have to be done carefully because I want the site to be as fast as possible).

Now to the the antivirus part :??!!???

There is no .exe that I'am aware of , anywhere on the site !!!!!!!!! Could you be more specific because that really could hurt my post. Seriously ..

Anyway, I thank you again ; Your help is appreciated.

Hi Ilyas,

Glad you found my comments to be of some help.

See the link below for what my antivirus software flagged on your website!

I've reported the issue to another ELATED forum moderator for further investigation.

Regards,

mauco

Hi Ilyas,

Yes, it sounds like Norton flagged the entire main domain (clanfree.net), even though the trojan was on just that subdomain. You might want to report this to whoever runs the clanfree.net site though, so that they can clean it. I certainly wouldn't want to be hosting my website on a domain that contains infected pages.

Regarding your site itself - I agree with mauco's comments. A few more points:

1) Your links are hard to find because they are black (like your regular text) and not underlined. I suggest using blue and underline for your links.

2) Perhaps reduce the vertical space between each bullet point in your Articles and Videos lists.

3) It might be good to add dates to your blog posts so people can get an idea of how fresh the content is.

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Matt

Hi Matt,

All good ideas that I thank you for, most of them can be implemented pretty rapidely

so it might be for this we update.

I'll see what I can do with clanfree admis about that alert.
