The BBC has just posted a "who's who" of the 26 richest people who have made their fortunes from the internet:

The laziest billionaire has to be David Cheriton, who seems to have made 1.6 billion just by introducing 2 people to each other.

In related news, Bill Gates is no longer the world's richest man - that honour now goes to a Mexican chap by the name of Carlos Slim:

Thanks for posting that list - I must admit that I've never heard of most of them. Fame doesn't necessarily accompany riches!

This is my first post ever at Elated, hello everyone!

It's interesting that VideoLAN, which is an open source video player, would have that kind of traffic to the website (nr 52)

I use the VideoLAN software on my computer but can't remember the last time I visited the website. It's a good player though.

Hi Simon and welcome to the forums

Hmmm, I guess most of those visitors to VideoLAN are downloading their software - they seem to have a few different platforms - or maybe it's their software automatically connecting to check for updates

I use VLC a fair bit on my mac, but I don't think I've ever visited the website either!

How's the weather in Finland? It's feeling cold here in Australia now (just coming into our winter), but probably not cold by Finnish standards!

The weather is perfect today, sunny and around 20 degrees, but they promise rain for tomorrow

We had a cold winter this year with temperatures below -20 for more than a month so it's nice with summer finally here

I am telling you, I am from Mexico and Carlos Slim has most power than the Mexican President itself.

He owns the company TELMEX which is the Mexican Monopoly Telephone Company.

Also has anyone heard from Gusbash Chahal? He sold his first Marketing company when he was 18 for around $48 Millions, and then 2 years later build another one and sold it for $300 to Yahoo.

He is on his third start-up which is call Gwallet, it is a Social Media Monetization company...
