This new service looks interesting - it's set up by one of The Pirate Bay's founders:

Basically you pay a small monthly flat fee, then you can click "Flattr" buttons on various websites that you like throughout the month. At the end of the month your payment is divvied up amongst all the sites you clicked on.
Might be a great way for content producers (like ELATED) to offer content with less (or no) advertising.
