Website header ideas

Hi Jamie,

You don't say what you want to achieve by changing the header, so I'm just going to throw a few ideas out there.

Your header's pretty deep on the site, so maybe one of the aims should be to shorten it a touch to let users scroll a little less.

In my experience, it's always best to go for simplicity where you can, and at the moment, your header and logo are quite detailed.

Maybe if you simplified the cow, and the background swooshes it would work better when a little smaller - currently it kind of has to be that size to see the detail.

You could also simplify the type. Less bevelling, shadows etc.

Also, and this is entirely subjective, might it be better if the cow's head was facing the user rather its errr.. hindquarters? =)

thanks for the suggestions. I am in the process of trying to redesign the header, obviously. One of my main goals it to decrease the depth like you stated. I am just trying to see what other people think at this point.
