Hi, this is about the fifth time I've built this site as I've never really been happy with it. I'm quite happy now with the look of it but not some of the text.

Please take a look and let me know what you think could be changed or improved.

Thanks.

Hi,

I think that's pretty good actually. It's easy to read, says what you do and promotes your services. Maybe a few tweaks:

- In the subpages, how about bringing the promo boxes up to run down the side of the text (a bit like you have them on the homepage)? That way users don't have to scroll to the bottom to see them.

- As a locally-promoted firm, it might be nice to have some more personal touches to help build an initial relationship with customers. Maybe a staff page?

- You have these nice drawn icons for the promo boxes. Could you extend that to give greater impact to the services pages which are bit "listy"?

- As a web designer, your web design page does make me bristle slightly. I know I'm not exactly the target demographic, but the whole section screams to me that you're not comfortable with this side of things. And, from a professional standpoint, having the discipline reduced to phrases like "Most websites simply come down to layout and colour scheme" is somewhat offputting!

My two cents.

Simon

Hi Simon

Thanks for the response, to be honest I think you are spot on with the web design page, it's not really a service I'm that keen on doing at the moment as I'm only starting out but I wanted to be able to offer an entire package to new companies so that we set up their network, emails, etc, etc and do a website too so I had to put something on but I'm not happy with the wording yet, I don't want to make myself out to be a great web designer as I know I'm not but equally I am capable of doing decent websites for smaller companies, its a tricky balance.

I like the idea of a staff page, if only my staff weren't so, err, un-photogenic I'll definitely look at adding that though.

I agree that the business support and home support pages are way too listy, I'll probably re-do those, maybe just have the promo boxes linking to each section so that people can look more indepth at what they are interested in.

Thanks for your comments, always good to get an independent opinion.
