So we had the 40th birthday of the internet a couple of months back, and now we have Firefox's 5th birthday! (Wow, has it really been that long...?)
Ars Technica has an interesting article looking at the hopes and ideas of the Firefox team back when it first reached 1.0, as well as the current state of play:

Firefox has been my main browser for years now, and it just keeps getting better and better (especially the new AwesomeBar). However I think Firefox's biggest achievement of all was forcing Microsoft to wake up and develop IE7, thereby making the web a better place for everybody.
What's your browser of choice these days?
