Website for Charity events

I'm new at this but have been asked to create a website to promote an annual event run by our charity and which requires entrants to log-in and register on the web, then link to a payment screen to process their entry fees.
I found a suitable site but it requires every entrant to register individually, whereas we have families, clubs and businesses submitting bulk entries against the one payment.
Any ideas? Is there a template anywhere that I can adapt? HELP!

If you really are new at this, then you're going to have problems I think. This is exactly the sort of situation where I'd advise employing a professional web firm to do the coding work and design, then put it all together. There's no way to just hack something like this together with no experience, and it's unrealistic to expect it of yourself.

If you have zero budget, then the trick is to simplify as much as possible. I'd forget about the registration/login stuff, and simply take a free template like ELATED's HiLite (http://www.elated.com/pagekits/hilite/), change the text and images and add a simple PayPal button to take payments.

Even that though has a learning curve if you've never done it before. Can you give us a bit more info?

I second Simon's suggestion. If you don't have a big budget or lots of time then something like PayPal is by far the easiest approach. It's not always totally elegant, but it should do the job!
