Some quite nice ones there. Debossing's been around on the web for years and is often overused IMO; however these examples are mostly subtle and pleasing to the eye.

The first site (Epic Event) really should fix that biiiig typo though ^_^

Yeah that bern one is really nice. I'd prefer it if they'd just done the big bern logo though and left the menu options etc...

I quite like the style, but it's like any other web 2-ey thing: a trend.

The decision is about following it or not. Sometimes that's the effect you want (blend in with the crowd), othertimes not (stand out from the crowd).

That said, it's nice to have in the arsenal in the same way it is in the rint world of debossing etc.
