hey guys,

Just a thought, dont you feel YaBB is a better message board than Teemz

YABB located at http://www.yabbforum.com

What i found missing here, since i am new here

1. No email notifications for replies to posts.
2. Difficult to find new posts or new replies.

About 2:
Agreed the board gives a 'View today's active topics' but what when i keep coming back, more than once in 24 hrs. There should be some graphical representation, so users can quickly identify fresh posts.

YaBB provides both these facilities.

I know pulling down a board and overhauling it to another is not a days work. Maybe these are just genuine thoughts to be considered for the future

The guys at elated are surely doing a great Job. Keep it up.

On the upside I found Teemz surely faster than YaBB.

Hi Ullas,

Considering ELATED created Teemz, I don't think they're that likely to change to YaBB!

By the way, if you remember to log out after you've finished on the forums, Teemz will mark all posts new since you last logged out with a star next time you log in.

I think email registration is on the list of features for the next version of Teemz too.

Cool maan

Now i should have checked that before posting. I look like a perfect fool in front of so many people.

And yes, i guess no way you will trade your 'baby' for something else. I hope i didn't break your hearts when i said YaBB was better. Maan i know how it feels, for all the time and effort you guys must've spent on the code.

I hope all of us get the perfect Teemz message board soon. Good luck

Thanks for the tips Cat.

*lol* That's funny!

I actually quite like the look of YaBB, though I've never installed it myself. (Hmmm.. maybe I should - check out the competition?

When we wrote Teemz, about the only decent message board around was UBB, which is why we decided to write our own What seems to make Teemz popular is that it doesn't have loads of features that make it cumbersome to use - it's just a plain ol' message board - and it's very easy to setup. But we are planning the email notification thing at some point.

Thanks for the feedback!

HTML support would be ideal.

It's your custom board, so be proud of it 4sure!

We recently installed the YaBB here:
www.SiteTutor.com
"Where webmasters & domain dealers come together"

Please have a peek.. join, we're only less then 2 weeks old.. and it's free to join.

We did like the look of the vBulletin certainly.. it's a nice board.

Keep up your good work!
We have your elated site on our forum for 'free templates' btw!

Sincerely:
SiteTutor
