What a beautiful "Endless Summer" Pagekit. Makes me feel warmer already--it finally got cold here.

It's also made me think of a tutorial request: I've noticed you use that "torn paper" effect to good avantage on a couple of the newer Pagekits. I struggle with that quite a bit. How about a few pointers??

Not a bad idea! The "torn" bit is literally just starting with a box and scribbling with the eraser on a small brush size around the outside *lol*

We're classy us!

For quite a while I had my personal homepage done up like a cubicle. I had a tweedy looking background that looked like cubicle walls, and the text was presented on something that looked like a whiteboard. My menu links were torn pieces of paper and yellow stickies stuck up to one side with tape and thumbtacks. I could never get the torn paper to look the way I wanted it. I did a pretty good job with the tape, though.

(That was in the days of my Eye Candy addiction...)

*lol* Had you been reading too much Dilbert? I hate those veal fattening pens!

I'm not sure I could get that sort of thing looking right either. It works ok on the Wiped Out 'Kit where the torn element is slightly abstracted, but it'd be a challenge to get it looking right for a "real" note.

I'd be tempted to scan it *lol*

Oh, you cannot imagine how happy I am not to be working and living in a cube!! The great, big window here and my tunes on the CD player make the poverty almost worth it.

I'll just have to hang onto all those realistic effects until Web fashion comes around to them again.
