They just came out with a new template Grave. They have had like 3 in the past couple of months. It isn't easy to make templates that good. Be patient.

colors of "hi", logo-style of "perfect" and navigation of "taste" and/or "abstract".

No extraordinary table-styles !!!!

Do you think that this is possible ??

well, ive noticed that most of the templates that are made are very professional like, well, maybe u could learn a new sytle of layout design, http://www.d-xl.net this guy is taking web design to a knew level, with those graphix and ideas, this guy is gonna make some money! i was just curious to know if u guys could ever get some new ideas other then what u have now?

Well, Scott, we do try to create new looks occasionally. We also try to preserve some sort of in-house design style as a kind of trademark.

There's also a pressure to keep roughly within the mainstream of design in order to keep our appeal reasonably large. Whilst sometimes we'd love to really do dramatically different things, as a business, this may not be the right place.

Maybe we're getting stale? What do we all think?

At least we can keep a site running, unlike the guy you mention =) (ooh what a bitch) - or did you type it wrong?

Easy Simon,,,, My vote goes with the "Keep it Successful" way of life. Elated has helped a lot of people and they keep coming back. Seems to me a good indication that something is being done right. So keep at it and have a damn fine time doing it!!!!

We don't have any concrete plans for Flash templates at the moment, but it may well happen at some point!

I have used one of your templates before and enjoy it. A very good site over all, but if you could make a template with the switch menu thing where when hovered over, the menu botton changes to another image. Also, if it is framed, have it where you can view more of the information that the visitor came for. Last, but not least, if it could be a white matched one that is catchy for some bussiness or an information for bussiness site. No rush, just suggestions. Well I have enjoyed the site, oh yeah, how much is an Adobe Photo Shop for that is the cheapest, for I jsut want one that can get tose action kits to run. I have Paint Shop Pro 7, but of course, it doesn't have the support for the action kits. Well, the templates are great ideas so far, Thanks for everything, Later

Don't get me wrong, I love your frames kits but perhaps more non-frames kits. From what I've heard, freehost ad banners attach to every frame of the latter style - rendering the site utterly chaotic.

Hi all,

I must admit we appear to have completely given up on frames for PageKits at least. It's not completely conscious, but it does seem to be happening as they fall out of mainstream favour.

Shame really. I always thought that they could have been so great if someone had just had an easy implementaion in HTML to break out of frames and also to make sure you could link to any page. with menus etc intact. Wouldn't have been that hard...

How about a theme with a spiritual or ghostly twist: a tasteful "sleepy hollow" bent not an overly blatant Halloween feel.( A suggestion from my Mom-in-Law who writes juvenile fiction. BTW, getting back to freehosts and frames, you probably already know, but Portland Communications resolves this conflict with their advertisement free hosting.

One that I think would go down really well is a template that has all different pages such as a forum on one page, example guestbook on the other and a feedback form on another. This way it would be helping people learn the code as well as cutting down posts on forums about forms etc.

What do you think of this idea?

Good thoughts.

We've done several of the ideas you mention Bingo, including music (Tune), Mobile Phones (Communicate), various"'ziney" one (portal, wash) and film (Filmstar) but there are loads of good ideas there.

Dan, your idea has been mooted, and may wel make an apearence at some point. It's hard, cos that stuff all needs server side CGI or similar, which a lot of people don't have. Stay tuned though!

ow, i just read this post again for the second time, and ive read simon's post reply to mine and it really hurt! needless to say, the site url was correct, but he took down the site to make a full featured anime site!

so, if i had a screen shot of the layout he made then i would give it to you.

anyways, I know that elated has thier own brand type of layouts or pagekits aiming more at the professional buisness look cause thats what the mojority of the people want! anyways, what i meant by style was i mean, making pagekits that suit other types of people, like invader type pagekits for other particular types of sites! it could be anime to a an online store. But u gotta take in consideration that thier are other types of sites on the net! thats just my opinion, and plz dont take this like im judging u!

But surely if your templates are supposed to be an example to business' then they would have the right servers and want to use them to the full. If they saw your examples it may swing them more your way.

It's just really to keep the 'Kits appeal as wide as possible. Also to keep development time down.

A lot of business sites are still hosted on servers that don't have a cgi-bin I fear.

Are all the 'Kits really very businessy? That wasn't the idea at all! If I tried to get something like GE-OM past a client I'd be arguing for a long time!
