Hi there! I'm brand-spankin' new to this forum, but I'd like to hear some feedback on my personal website, as well as my portfolio site.

My personal site is a site hosting fan works centered on Severus Snape from the Harry Potter series: http://www.sevysgal.com

My portfolio site is what I send out to prospective employers (I'm still in web developing classes, so it isn't much): http://arporter.sevysgal.com

Any suggestions for improvement on either are much appreciated.

Hi Sevysgal,

Thanks for posting. My general feeling on the sevysgal site is that it's a bit dark, but that could be the look.

One word of advice though - people are really unlikely to install fonts just to view your site, and that's taking up the first page visitors see. My advice would be to lose that option, go straight to the homepage, and make some of the text images, or simply make do with system fonts. It's boring, but practical..
