I'm looking for any type of feedback. I'm just a high school student, and I still have A LOT to learn when it comes to web design. Load time will probably stink, along with several other things. But if you see anything that I could possibly improve, please let me know...thanks.

Hi,

First impressions are good. I like the colours, there's lots of white space - it looks very clean and is restful on the eye.

You have three menus on your site which is a tad confusing. Might there be a way of combining the menus into one menu, or one menu per section? Which admittedly is kind of what you have anyway. But it confused the hell out of me on the home page. I notice you have a quick links menu on some pages which do this. I'd definitely try and introduce a bit more consistency to your menu systems to try and make things easier on the user.

Everything else is cool though

Hi reader,

I like your site. The top page image is very pretty. The navigation is well laid-out with the main menu tabs and the subsections on the right, though I think Cat has a point about increasing consistency. I'd maybe remove the top-right menu and incorporate it into the main menu somewhere.

The text is presented in an easy-to-read way. Good usage of colour.

The bizarre popup window that appears when you click the "Poetry" tab is somewhat disturbing, and it distracted me from your site. It also crashed my Netscape, rendering the site unusable. I'd recommend removing it if possible!

But otherwise I really liked the site. Good content and stylish design.
