In fact not one but 2 small sites I have created for my offspring. I thought up the idea when I was looking around for some image cataloging software but couldn't find something suitable.

I'm considering throwing it all together into some kind of database but that sort of thing hurts my head too much at the moment.

Anyway, have a quick look and see what you think

Hi Jock,

Those sites are excellent! They look really professional. Those cutout photos of your kids on the front pages are really well done - you've been busy in Photoshop haven't you!

I love the way the two sites have a similar format, but each has its own unique style too. And those fonts are great, especially Phoebe's one.

The site's easy to use with the nice big navigation buttons. Although the buttons don't have descriptive text on (so-called "mystery meat" navigation!), I think that's OK in this case because of the big rollover text. One thing I would do is add a rollover for the "home" buttons that says "back home" or something.

On Phoebe's site, there's a slight problem on my Netscape 4.7/Linux where the top frame is not tall enough, so the bottom of the purple navigation bar gets chopped off (noticeable with the "home" button on the right). I think the only way to get the frame heights the same on all browsers is with some hideous javascript or server-side code (unless anyone knows different!). Maybe you could just increase the frame height a bit, and hopefully it will look OK on all browsers!

Overall, an excellent couple of sites. I'm sure your kids are proud!

Cheers,
Matt
