i have just started using photoshop cs2 and adobe gave me the new cs3 beta, on the cs3 beta they have a magic wand tool called quick select tool, i want to add that tool to my full version cs2 program, any idea how to take that tool from cs3 and add that tool to my cs2 ???

I'm afraid you can't - it's built into the app, and as far as I know there's no way to separate it.

That quick select tool is great though. I cut a red rose from a red background the other day, and it did it flawlessly.

What other things do you like about CS3?

There are lots of training sites out there for Photoshop, though most are paid. Try putting "free video training + Photoshop" into Google and browsing around. Sometimes there are some great free "teaser" tutorials.

This is really good stuff though:

I'm particularly liking the new smart filters right now. It's great to be able to apply sharpening to a photo that you can change later!
