Need help creating text in PSP

I am trying to create text for a t-shirt in the form of a PNG image. Is this even possible with PSP, and if so, how do I do it?

Open PaintShop Pro

create a new document and set the size accordingly.

Select text tool.
click in the document.
Type in your text and format it in the dialog box click Ok

File -> Save then select Portable Network Graphics (*.png) in Save as type:
