Hello,

Please I created a gif animation that works fine in Firefox but doesn't work when I view it in IE. What's wrong and what can I do to rectify it?

Could it be because I have both IE6 and Firefox on the same system?

Thanks in anticipation of your kind assistance.

1) It has nothing to do with IE and Firefox being on the same system. I have 5 browsers installed for reviewing my work. All browsers render the same code differently.

2) IE should be updated first off. Since I am running Mac OS X, I can't be for sure what current version IE is at this time. IE has always had problems rendering CSS amoung other things.

3) Upload and then post a link to your .gif so we can see it first hand.

Hi Skraf,

We do need to see the animation to tell for sure - can you upload it somewhere, send us the address, and we can take a look?

Is it possible that you have animations turned off in IE 6? If you looking in your advanced preferences you might find you need to check the "play animations in web pages" checkbox. If no animations work in IE this is the likely cause - gif animations should be browser-independent really.
