Importing two pics to Elements3 & CS2

Hi there,
Could some one advise me on the following.
If I wish to work on two graphics such as a frame and a pic for the frame I am having difficulty placing them together in say layers 1 and 2. They are opening in different documents and therefore I cannot get them together. Am very new to photoshop, pretty dumb in fact. Thanks

Hi Ian,

The will open as different documents, but you can just drag between the two documents and the new one will be on a separate layer.
