I'm using photoshop 5.5 and I'd like to find out how to make a layer in an image semi-transparent so that when placed above another layer, both can be seen. I think there's some of this around your site as well as in some of the pagekits, like AI.

That's as best as I can explain it, any ideas???

Hi Zoe,

You can make a layer transparent by using the slider at the top of the layers pallatte called "opacity" - just drag it to the left and the layer will become transparent..
