I have been trying to use Auraline Web Page 5.0 Construction Kit and thought that this would be a simple task seeming how it automatically creates the HTML for you and you simply copy and paste the java applet into the HTML document. I have tried to create test pages and all I come up with is a gray screen where the applet should play.
Any suggestions?

Unfortunately there is no url to take a look at. I've learned to work off line until I figure it out.
With the kit you are suppose to be able to create, import or manipulate multimedia files using a timeline. I figured this would be a good tool for me to use because I am not very familiar with java.
Is it possible that I am pasting the java applet in the wrong spot? Does it need to begin after the body tag?

Hi sierra,

I don't know anything about Auraline, but normally you do have to put Java applets within the <BODY></BODY> tags.

I expect the most likely problem is that the Java applet is not being passed the correct parameters, or something else is preventing the Java applet from initialising properly. Difficult to say without seeing the HTML in question.

Matt,
I regret deleting everything on my site. I thought I would just start a new slate once I have it figured out.
Do you have any ideas on a site that I might be able to right click on to view source so I can get an idea of what I have done wrong? This might help me a little.

Thanks,
Sierra

Sierra,

For example, take a look at:

http://textscroller.tripod.com/

This applet has lots of parameters, and is a good example of how to embed a Java applet in a web page. Take a look at the code between the <applet></applet> tags.

Hope that helps!

Best wishes,
Matt.
