The beginning of the end for graphic design on the Web?

In our newsletter this week I suggested that websites such as this new Playstation 3 site might spell the end of graphic design on the Web as we know it:

Unlike traditional sites, which take the world of graphic design as their base model, the PS3 site uses the language of modern film production instead, which is a full-on paradigm shift.

Is this kind of interface the future? Should we all be ditching classic graphic design skills and learning Maya and Final Cut Pro?
