> Interesting question. I'm pretty sure this is an area which is under-published but I do know that Genesis Press publishes ethnic romance although I've never seen any. Genesis is an American small press run by a man called Wilbur Colom and his books are advertised in Romantic Times magazine. I doubt whether they could be classed as erotica, but you never know. The idea of writing one yourself is great -why not? You could be setting a trend! I know that Black Lace are looking for new directions to move in right now. Good luck!

To both Z and Vivian:
A must for anyone interested in erotica is The Sexuality Library, a mail order catalog of over 300 tastefully done books, magazines and videos about sex. This catalog is available for $2 or free on request at either location of Good Vibrations 1210 Valencia St. San Francisco, CA 94110 (415) 974-8980 and 2504 San Pablo Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94702 (510)841-8987. The last issue I have is Spring 1996. Store hours were 11 AM - 7 PM seven days a week.
Though nothing in their old catalog is racially specific, a book titled "The Erotic Mind," by Jack Morin, PhD, (1995), looks interesting ". . . explains many paradoxes of erotic life, including how taboo emotions can be aphrodisiacs and why the best sex is often dynamic and risky rather than static and safe." Book price $25 or 120 min. audio tape $16.
As a professional white gentleman, my purpose in sharing this information is my interest in Black women. Because I have worked with them, I have gained insights into them . . . their sensitivity . . . their sensuality . . . and their sexuality.
I would love to discuss this topic with both of you, individually or together, using email and perhaps leading to conversation with a vision towards possible collaboration on Z's book. The white male and Black female perspectives might add an interesting dimension.
If this sounds interesting, respond at this site in a few days and we'll wing it from there.
